Couldn't have said it better meself. And the whole Brit mess is what happens when people can't just mind their own business. Perhaps if the media didn't possess a scorched person policy she would have been ok. It's a sad crash and burn story I am sure VH1 will capitalize on in future years.

Sorry to hear about your dog chapped ears. Happy to hear your dog is a rescue. Think of it this way, he loves you enough to annoy you.

Dogs are the best. And I'd settle for teaching them how to sleep nicely on the end of the bed. Last night, he had a crazy need to wake up and lick my ears every thirty minutes or so. I am exhausted and unable to focus on work. I had to put lotion on my ears this morning. However, there are few joys in life like being loved by a rescue dog. I'll keep him.

That said, this analysis is not likely to be brilliant...

I hold out a teeny tiny sliver of hope for this new incarnation of the Supreme Court. Lifetime appointments have been known to change people who had spent their whole previous career doing what they “should.” I’ve been waiting for them to take one of those big cases, one that will tell me who they are. Maybe this is it.

Dr. Phil isn’t helping anyone but Dr. Phil. He’s all about the ratings, and he knows that nearly any American will drop everything for a chance to see another celebrity meltdown, so he'll be there to cash in on it. He’s disgusting.

While we’re on the subject of Brittney…I can’t help but feel partially responsible for the monster America has made out of an unprepared, undereducated southern girl. In this particular case, I think we’ve crossed the line recently and we’re essentially picking on the fat kid in class. Not that she didn’t have a key role in getting where she is today, but it’s reached a point where just not right to point and stare anymore.

A certain Pakistani leader never expected Bhutto’s death to come back and bite him, I guess. I’m sure he thought that he couldn’t or wouldn’t be held responsible by anyone if something unfortunate happened to a woman who obviously aroused such strong feelings in others. oops.

I love EII. She is more comfortable in who she is than nearly any other celebrity I could name. There’s a woman who was neither unprepared nor undereducated, and it shows.

Okay. Must find caffeine. And a way to make the dog tired before bed time.

Dogs are a good cure. Especially ones with big sad eyes and fluffy soft ears. If only we could teach them to administrate.

And a Joyeux Noel to you too!

Good grief. Where do I even start with this?

I think I need to get back to you tomorrow. Right now, I have a pressing need to go home and tell my new dog exactly what I think of his big sad eyes and wonderful soft ears just one more time.

Happy New Year!
